The campaign to save The Point has had a great many supporters over the years, both individuals and organisations. Here’s a far from exhuastive list (in no particular order) of the people who have helped keep the campaign alive.

Individuals

Iain Sear is a Milton Keynes advocate who foresaw the danger facing The Point long before everyone else, filing for Listed Status and collating fantastic materials over a number of years.

Simon Stevens is a past resident of Milton Keynes and the man responsible for building the Facebook platform that the newly revived campaign is built upon.

Cristina Cragg placed the plight of The Point firmly back in the spotlight during lockdown thanks to her petition that quickly garnered hundreds of signatures.

Organisations

ReturnMK is a charity dedicated to youth engagement that is based in The Point. Jason Lawrence and the ReturnMK team have engaged public opinion around the building and continue to breathe life into the building to this very day.

The Cinema Theatre Association have remained largely unknown to residents of Milton Keynes, but have compiled and presented incredible amounts of information on The Point in their attempts to achieve listed status, and have continued to lobby local government.

MKFM‘s ongoing reporting on developments around The Point have kept the conversation alive, and we’re grateful that they’ve continued to use their voice by reporting on our revived campaign.

If you’re not here it’s not a snub! We’re trying as hard as we can to pay tribute to everyone and we’ll hopefully get to you soon. If you feel really strongly that you should be listed, please contact us and we’ll try to make ammends as soon as possible.
